Family Medicine Physician Opportunity

Essentia Health is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Ashland, Wisconsin. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a great physician culture with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
Practice ModelWe have developed a family medicine with OB model of care, offering a combined full-spectrum practice including hospital work. Our practice and OB volumes are growing, providing opportunities to participate in community C-section call (if desired).
Call SchedulePrimary call group will be 1 in 7, with OB call shared between 4 partners. Our Avel Tele-hospitalist service greatly reduces night call load.
Practice SettingOur state-of-the-art medical clinic is attached to Ashland Hospital and NW Wisconsin Cancer Center. We offer procedural training and support, including scopes, procedures, and surgical training.
Collaboration and SupportWe have strong domiciled clinic partners, including Pediatrics, Cardiology, Radiology, Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, and Family Medicine. We also have outreach from Essentia Health Duluth, offering Nephrology, Pulmonary, Urology, Rheumatology, Orthotics, and Sleep Study services.
Programs and ServicesWe offer RN-based Anti Coag, Diabetes, CDM, Hypertension, Nail Care, Complex Care Management, and Asthma programs on site daily. Our 24/7 RN-based telephone call coverage and high-complexity laboratory ensure seamless patient care.
Education and TrainingOpportunities to precept at the Duluth Family Practice Residency in rotation, or on site with ongoing hospital collaboration with various medical residency programs.
TechnologyWe use EPIC electronic medical record system.
