Job Overview

The Parts Logistics Specialist is responsible for the reception and distribution of components within the designated area. This role involves assisting in the procurement of parts and ensuring that stock levels are accurately maintained to support operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory assessments of current parts
  • Manage the receipt and distribution of incoming components
  • Generate Goods Receipts in SAP, adhering to global procurement standards
  • Communicate inventory requirements to the procurement team
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
  • Operate the parts department vehicle as necessary
  • Safely handle a forklift, with training provided if needed
  • Process work orders as required
  • Place orders for parts as necessary
  • Code purchasing card transactions by entering work order numbers or adjusting the general ledger codes
  • Comply with all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA regulations at all times
  • Utilize appropriate safety gear while on site
  • Meet or exceed established safety benchmarks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in operating equipment in reverse using mirrors
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate a forklift (training available if required)
  • Strong attention to detail and physical coordination for safe and efficient task execution

Working Environment

  • Regular exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and outdoor conditions
  • Mandatory use of protective equipment while on the premises

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to perform various physical tasks including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move items
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively with colleagues and visitors to ensure safety around heavy machinery
