Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

At Ampcus, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence reports and analysis, providing technical guidance and support to team members, and managing the reporting environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports and analysis to support business decision-making
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex reporting and analytical problems
  • Manage the reporting environment, including report data sources, security, subscriptions, and metadata
  • Assist in initiatives to improve data normalization and integrity across the enterprise
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new or upgraded software to support business intelligence needs
  • Troubleshoot reported problems related to reports and the reporting database environment
  • Assess the impact of changes and updates to source production systems and plan and implement resulting changes to reports
  • Conduct end-user training on reporting systems
Requirements:
  • 12 years of experience with relational databases
  • 5 years of experience with columnar databases or columnar storage
  • 12 years of experience with SQL programming
  • 8 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or above
  • 4 years of experience with SQL Server Management Studio
  • 4 years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services
  • 2 years of experience with SQL Server Analysis Services
  • 5 years of experience with Pentaho BI Suite
  • 5 years of experience with PDI ETL
  • 5 years of experience with Pentaho Analytics/Reporting
  • 4 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Access
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Visio
  • 4 years of experience with data modeling
  • 5 years of experience with data warehousing
Desired Experience:
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2018/2020
  • Client Vertica
  • Amazon Redshift
  • Pentaho BI Suite
  • Pentaho PDI
  • Any other BI tools like Business Objects, Cognos, etc.
  • Team Foundation Server
  • ERwin
  • TOAD for Oracle
