Job Overview

Hobart Bostrom Co. Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-quality products, and we are seeking an experienced Automated Welding Technician to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that product components meet quality standards by joining metal components using robotic welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld components with precision and accuracy using welding equipment as specified by procedures and blueprints.
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures to ensure proper alignment.
  • Adjust and monitor welding parameters, including amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, to achieve optimal weld quality.
  • Measure dimensions using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to ensure accurate results.
  • Inspect welds visually and measure their acceptability based on specified tolerances.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of production welding experience or welding certification from an accredited technical school.
  • Forklift certification and 1 year of robotic welding/programming experience are highly desirable.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
