The Physical Therapist is a key member of our healthcare team at Recover-Care Healthcare, responsible for developing and implementing individualized therapy programs to maximize patient progress and achieve functional goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care, conducts thorough assessments, and consults with other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Designs and implements plans of care, incorporating participation from significant others when appropriate, to achieve patients' functional goals.
- Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care, directing the assistance of support staff as needed.
- Communicates effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Practices facility and departmental policies, procedures, and standards, including safety, environmental, and infection control protocols.
- Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans, regularly updating documentation and maintaining prescriptions and signatures.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops, staying up-to-date on professional literature.
- Graduate of an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Prior Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
- Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.
- Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Duties require extensive standing and walking.
- Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
- Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
