PITT OHIO Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at our Cumberland, MD Terminal. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing fleet equipment, conducting failure analysis, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly
  • Conduct failure analysis and repair/rebuild fleet equipment components
  • Inform management of housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices
  • Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs
  • Complete work orders and document repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
  • Two years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree/certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Pass DOT physical and drug screen
  • CDL, ASE, and State/Federal inspection certification preferred
  • Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in repair and maintenance of heavy trucks and semi-trailers
Working Conditions:

Travel may be required; must be able to work a varied schedule based on need. Overtime may be necessary during peak periods. Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
