Key Responsibilities
  • Product Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and select the best seafood products for purchase, considering factors such as quality, price, and availability.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating prices and delivery schedules to meet company needs.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that products are stored and handled properly to maintain quality and freshness.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and freshness, working with vendors and internal teams to resolve any issues.
  • Procurement Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of purchases, including costs, delivery schedules, and product quality.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring that terms and conditions meet company requirements.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the seafood industry.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Certifications: Certification in a related field, such as purchasing or supply chain management, is preferred.
