- Develop and implement individualized health plans to promote student independence and well-being.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of our healthcare services.
- Assume charge nurse/unit coordination duties as required, demonstrating leadership and expertise.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in pediatrics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the nursing process and evaluation techniques for students with multiple disabilities.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments or blindness.
- Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act regulations and service implications.
The Night Nurse will work in multiple indoor environments around campus, with a variety of sound, lighting, and temperature conditions. The ability to walk from building to building or use a golf cart is required.
Work ScheduleThe Night Nurse will work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9PM - 7AM, with a daily one-hour unpaid lunch. Some flextime and occasional overtime, including occasional weekend assignments, may be required.
