Nurse Educator - Emergency Department
As a pivotal member of our Clinical Education and Professional Development team, the Nurse Educator will lead the charge in enhancing nursing practices and facilitating learning within the Emergency Department. This full-time role encompasses 8-hour shifts and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on nursing excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate educational programs that promote evidence-based practices among nursing staff.
- Mentor and guide future nursing leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration and communication.
- Enhance the clinical competencies of nursing personnel in managing critical situations, including emergencies and trauma.
- Utilize a standardized education framework to provide Transition into Practice training for new nursing graduates.
- Collaborate with local and system-wide educational teams to optimize training resources and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Advanced studies in a clinical specialty area.
- Completion of coursework in adult education principles.
- Training in Performance Improvement and Research Methodology.
- Current California Registered Nurse License and National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- A minimum of 3 years of acute hospital experience in a clinical specialty.
- At least 1 year of experience in adult education or patient/family education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or current enrollment in a Master's program.
- Obtaining nursing specialty certification within 2 years of hire.
