Job Title: Park Ranger

Join the State of Connecticut team as a Park Ranger and contribute to the preservation and maintenance of our beautiful state parks. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable experience of park visitors, while also maintaining the park's natural and cultural resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general information and assistance to park visitors
  • Enforce park rules and regulations
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and repairing facilities
  • Assist with special events and programs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a park or recreation setting
  • Knowledge of park rules and regulations
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment, such as lawn mowers and chain saws
