Position: Staff Accountant

A prominent player in the logistics and delivery sector is seeking a Staff Accountant. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee fixed asset management and general ledger account reconciliations, assist with daily electronic funds transfer reviews, and collaborate with accounts payable and receivable teams. Ensure adherence to internal control protocols, review vendor and customer account setups, and manage year-end 1099 processes while tracking critical departmental deadlines.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain the month-end checklist and support accounts payable and receivable tasks related to the month-end closing process.
  • Collect supporting documentation for both internal and external audits.
  • Propose and assist in the implementation of process enhancements and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on precision.
  • Fundamental understanding of US GAAP and related accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with Sage 100 is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and a commitment to compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and independently research and resolve issues using strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience.
Work Schedule: Full-time
