ARPA-H Financial Analyst

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) in expanding our health technology development support capabilities and offerings.

This role requires a strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis, with experience in supporting executive-level Government personnel at a federal agency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the PPBE process and be able to develop, organize, and maintain financial budgets, as well as track financial milestones for R&D programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support mission office leadership in all aspects of federal budget formulation and the planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process
  • Develop, organize, forecast, and maintain financial budgets; create and coordinate budget documents and requests
  • Track financial milestones for R&D programs; anticipate and solve problems in financial, administrative, and program management arenas
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on budgetary and financial matters

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated professionalism, maturity, sound judgment, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for daily interactions with executive-level audiences in a dynamic, high-visibility Front Office environment
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, equivalent experience/certification in a field relevant to the specific position, or substantial equivalent occupational experience
  • At least 3 years or more relevant experience
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting as circumstances dictate

Desired Requirements:

  • NIH or other federal grant program experience and/or familiarity with the DoD and/or HHS
  • One year or more experience working with an ARPA agency
  • Experience using NBS, iProcurement, PTOS, AMBIS, or PRISM software tools
  • Knowledge/competence in web-based research as well as analysis using modern PC computer techniques, systems, and tools
