Banquet Server Job Description

As a Banquet Server at Martin Resorts, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service during banquet events. Your responsibilities will include ensuring courteous and efficient service to guests, from setting up banquet halls to serving meals and beverages with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Setup: Ensure all banquet stock and equipment are in good condition, set tables according to service standards, and prepare stations with supplies and equipment.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverage orders as needed, retrieve alcoholic beverage orders from the bar, and serve wine/champagne bottles in accordance with banquet standards.
  • Breakdown and Cleaning: Bus and remove food, beverage, and soiled wares from event spaces, transport to designated break down areas, and dispose of food, boxes, trash, props, and guest items.
  • Guest Service: Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned stations and service areas.

Requirements: Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset are essential for success in this role. You must be able to work flexible scheduled shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, based on business needs.
