Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate OPMH Therapist to join our team at the Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide high-quality care to our patients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients.
  • Develop, implement, and document the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders.
  • Function independently as a member of the CVVAMC Medical Staff, with full clinical privileges.
  • Assist the program director or coordinator in the design, development, and implementation of clinical programs for a team of treatment providers.
  • Comply with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders for all patients.
Requirements
  • Citizenship: Be a citizen of the United States.
  • Education: Have a Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
  • Licensure: At the GS-13 level, candidates must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
