About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.
  • Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient.
  • Properly identify and assist patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures.
  • Interview patients for a complete medical history and review EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history.
  • Assume responsibility for the exam from beginning to completion of dictated results.
  • Prepare and administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols.
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if needed.
  • Perform basic patient care functions and inform nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI.
  • CPR certification.
