Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
  • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following: Respiratory Care Practitioner, Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered, or equivalent certification.
  • Preferred credentials: Advanced Life Support, Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
