Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Alarm Systems Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm systems with our existing and new customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed using provided tools
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs
  • Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
  • Work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs
  • Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

  • Installation or service experience in testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn quickly and perform physical labor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Obtain NICET I certification within one year of employment
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as smartphone skills
