The Food and Nutrition Division is dedicated to delivering exceptional nutritional care to our patients and visitors. The Clinical Nutrition Specialist role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing and coordinating the operations of the Food & Nutrition Services division across all facilities to guarantee high-quality service delivery. This includes patient care, retail offerings, catering, and inpatient clinical services for the healthcare system.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and spearheading process enhancement initiatives.
  • Leading teams and defining objectives to offer innovative culinary solutions.
  • Focusing on the planning, management, and execution of patient-centered initiatives.
  • Assisting the Director in implementing and recommending strategies that align with the healthcare system's strategic objectives, mission, vision, and values.

  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and a valid Oklahoma State license is required (must achieve registration within the first six months of eligibility or hire date).
  • A food handler's permit from the Cleveland County Health Department must be obtained prior to hire (or within one week of hire).
  • Preferred: Six months of clinical experience in an acute care environment.
  • Required: Knowledge of various formulas for assessing patients' nutritional needs; completion of general and patient care orientation is mandatory before providing patient care.
