Job Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative and technical aspects of a construction project. This includes contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule management.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of company contracts and understanding of all parties involved.
  • Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activity.
  • Supervise and manage project team members.
  • Train and develop direct reports using on-the-job and internal and external training opportunities.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all major project issues and priorities.
  • Prepare and submit monthly project status reports.
  • Provide general administrative and technical leadership for the project.
  • Maintain all project records and monitor correspondence.
  • Supervise project close-out activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of construction experience, preferably with a general contractor on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish.
  • Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Roadway and structure experience is highly preferred.
  • Passion for the work and industry is a must.
