Position SummaryThe Advanced Practice Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive patient care, working collaboratively under the guidance of a supervising physician.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical history assessments as needed.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Diagnose, manage, and monitor chronic health conditions while adhering to protocol guidelines.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and recommend treatment plans within the framework of established protocols.
- Encourage and educate patients on maintaining healthy lifestyle choices.
- Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Assist in physician rounds within the hospital setting.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
- Engage with other healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment strategies.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Active Advanced Practice Nurse license in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care or primary care environment, or equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in cardiology is preferred.
$54.92 per hour
