Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive patient care, working collaboratively under the guidance of a supervising physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical history assessments as needed.
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Diagnose, manage, and monitor chronic health conditions while adhering to protocol guidelines.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend treatment plans within the framework of established protocols.
  • Encourage and educate patients on maintaining healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
  • Assist in physician rounds within the hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
  • Engage with other healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment strategies.
Qualifications

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Active Advanced Practice Nurse license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care or primary care environment, or equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in cardiology is preferred.
Compensation
$54.92 per hour
