About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Specialist to join our team at TotalMed in Medford. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assess Patients' Conditions: Conduct thorough assessments of critically ill patients to identify their needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Monitor Vital Signs: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer Medications: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians to manage patients' conditions and alleviate symptoms.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate Patients and Families: Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and care plans to promote informed decision-making and optimal recovery.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Possess a current Registered Nurse license and meet state-specific requirements.
  • BLS Certification: Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any additional certifications required by the facility.
  • ICU Experience: Have at least two years of recent ICU experience, demonstrating expertise in critical care nursing.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and adaptability skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
