Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Specialist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our OB-GYN Unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities:

* Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure the highest level of care and safety for our patients.
* Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to ensure seamless care coordination.
* Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
* Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure timely and effective care.
* Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

* 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience is a requirement.
* NRP is a requirement. Charge experience strongly recommended.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain a high level of physical stamina.
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
* Passionate about patient care and committed to delivering exceptional service excellence.
* Graduate from a fully accredited RN program and active unencumbered Illinois state license.
* One year of Cerner experience.

* Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
* Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
* Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
* Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
* Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
