Allstates Consulting Services is seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to collaborate with our esteemed partner in the fire safety sector. This role involves a variety of responsibilities focused on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Project Technician.
- Willingness to travel extensively, spending 3-4 weeks away from home within a 4-hour radius.
- Flexibility to work on-call, including day and night shifts as required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site maps.
- Familiarity with fire alarm panels is essential; experience with CCTV, voice, and data cabling is advantageous.
- Knowledge of color codes and the ability to identify independent colors.
- Capability to work in confined spaces.
- Experience operating a BOOM or scissor lift, with the ability to work at heights.
- Possession of basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation.
- Understanding of cabling infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using smartphones and personal computers, including email and Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with conduit installation is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Core Responsibilities:
- Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various fire alarm systems.
- Running low voltage cabling in commercial settings, including drilling through concrete walls and performing limited conduit work.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations by neatly tying and bundling all cables.
- Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
- Conducting tests to verify the operational status of newly installed cable systems and components.
- Troubleshooting issues within cable networks.

$35.00 per hour
Expected Work Hours:
40 hours per week
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Day shifts
- Evenings as needed

Experience Required:
- Minimum of 1 year in fire alarm systems (preferred)
