The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Collision Repair Specialist to join our team at Wayzata Collision Center. As a key member of our collision repair team, you will be responsible for estimating and calculating the cost to repair a vehicle, to replace vehicle parts, or the entire vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:- Calculate the customer's bill using the dealership's computer system.
- Track and record payments from customers and insurance.
- Answer phones and direct consumers to the proper department and follow up in a timely manner.
- Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution.
- Provide exceptional customer service by updating all guests on a regular basis and keeping them informed of any changes with their repair throughout the process.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Promptly and efficiently answer multi-line switchboard and transfer calls.
- Check with management at the end of each shift to ensure they do not need anything additional.
- Review vehicle damage and work with the estimator and senior technician to write a supplement based on discoveries.
- Create a repair plan for the technician and pull any TIS/repair documents needed for repair.
- Work with insurance companies to manage claims and negotiate pricing if needed.
- Order and locate all parts needed for repair.
- Review all finalized work to ensure it meets or exceeds the standards of The Wayzata Auto Center Collision Repair.
- File reconciliation: review your file to ensure all documents are up-to-date, all signatures are captured, and proper documentation is in the file.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of body shop experience preferred.
- CDK experience preferred.
- Excellent oral communication skills required.
- Ability to communicate customers' interests, needs, and requests to management and sales personnel required.
- 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy required.
