Job Title: Non CDL Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non CDL Driver to join our team at Pace. As a Non CDL Driver, you will be responsible for operating a 26' Box Truck with a Lift Gate to deliver freight to retail locations in and around the Mobile, AL area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a 26' Box Truck with Lift Gate
  • Pick up freight and deliver to Pace's customers in the scheduled timeframe
  • Breakdown pallets for customers as needed
  • Deliver cartons (boxes) to customer store using carts/pallet jack
  • Use Pace delivery app/scanner to track and document all deliveries
  • Maintain good relationships with our customers when making deliveries
  • Punctuality and accuracy within customer time windows on all deliveries
  • Timely communication with team regarding route issues
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner

Requirements:
  • Must have 12 months or more experience driving a Box Truck or qualified commercial vehicle
  • Not afraid to touch freight when needed
  • Must meet background and drug screening requirements
  • Valid DOT Med Card
  • Drivers must be 21 or older

Physical Requirements:
  • Tasks may involve occasional stooping, kneeling, bending; and reaching overhead; as well as the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects/materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 50lbs.
  • Tasks may involve extended periods of standing.
  • Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
  • Some tasks may require the ability to perceive and discern sounds and visual cues or signals.
  • Ability to communicate orally.
  • Able to work around moving machinery.
  • Warehouse environment, exposure to dust, loud noise and outdoor temperatures.
