Job Overview

The Senior Estimating Specialist will play a critical role in the company's growth by providing accurate and timely estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

About the Role
  • Prepare and assist in preparing complete cost estimates for assigned projects.
  • Plan and execute work while meeting customer-defined submission deadlines.
  • Schedule and attend field job walks with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirements.
  • Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and perform job site visits, which may require overnight stays.
  • Perform or assist in performing take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation.
  • Solicit material vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals, including assembly and distribution of project documentation into RFQ/RFP packages.
  • Understand construction and electrical drawings to accurately formulate an estimate.
  • Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of change orders.
  • Participate in job close-out meetings at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating process.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Team player mentality.
Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, paid weekly, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, hearing, mental health coverage, and 401(k) matching.
