Job OverviewObjective:

The role involves executing comprehensive diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance tasks on both customer-owned and dealer-owned turf machinery, along with additional responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough diagnostics and repairs on both consumer and commercial turf machinery, including Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
  • Engages in service training programs essential for skill enhancement and knowledge acquisition.
  • Stays updated on the latest developments in John Deere and competing products.
  • Ensures the upkeep of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintains a tidy work environment and executes tasks in an organized manner.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties.
  • Completes necessary reports, forms, and tasks related to job assignments, including researching and ordering required parts.
  • Records all time and materials utilized in completing assigned tasks according to dealership protocols and business systems.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with manufacturers as necessary.
  • Aims for a recovery efficiency of 90% or higher.
  • May perform diagnostics and repairs in field settings.
  • May assist with delivery services as required.
  • May facilitate or support customer training sessions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in service repairs.
  • Capability to execute advanced repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment in accordance with Technical Manual guidelines.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems utilized in turf equipment repair.
  • Strong proficiency in operating vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in using Service Advisor and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience is mandatory.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required by workload.
  • Possession of necessary tools to perform job functions (specialty tools are provided by the dealership).
  • A valid insurable driver's license is essential.
