As a Van Driver for our company, your primary responsibility will be the safe transportation of railroad crew members as per the railroad's requests. The duration and timing of trips will vary based on the needs of our railroad clients. Safety remains our top priority and should be a key focus for all Van Drivers. No previous experience is necessary, with both full-time and part-time positions available across various shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain a culture of safety awareness
- Ensure timely performance to meet client requirements
- Safely transport our clients to their designated locations
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Maintain effective communication with our Dispatch Center
- Assist crew members by opening and closing all vehicle doors/hatches
- Report any vehicle defects, mechanical issues, or missing items during inspections to your Supervisor
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by your Supervisor
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Successfully pass a post-offer drug screening, MVR, and homeland security background check
- Reside within a 30-minute commute of the branch location to ensure punctuality
- Hold a medical DOT card (or be able to obtain one upon hire) if required by state regulations
