Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Photogrammetry Expert to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our Intelligence Community (IC) customer support team, you will provide advanced photogrammetry support, leveraging your expertise in Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) processing and analysis, Electro-Optical (EO) imagery, and multi-source dataset co-registration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes for assembling multi-source 3D remote reconnaissance packages for geodetic survey missions, utilizing existing data and services where possible.
  • Refine and automate package production processes based on feedback from customers and stakeholders.
  • Supervise junior contractor analysts in remote reconnaissance package production, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Apply geodetic and photogrammetric principles to co-register multiple datasets to the WGS 84 reference frame and perform statistical analysis to determine absolute and relative error.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of photogrammetry, including LiDAR processing and analysis, EO point cloud generation, and geodetic surveying.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience processing and analyzing LiDAR data or EO point clouds, with a strong understanding of precision and error in accordance with existing data standards.
  • Experience applying geodetic and photogrammetric principles to co-register multiple datasets to the WGS 84 reference frame and perform statistical analysis to determine absolute and relative error.
  • Proficiency in using QT Modeler, Socet Set, or similar elevation or point cloud processing and analysis software, as well as ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
  • Knowledge of digital data formats, including vector data, raster data, shape files, GML, and XML.
  • Experience developing project plans with milestones and deliverables, tracking progress, and subsequent status reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • STEM degree in a relevant field, such as geodetic surveying or land surveying.
  • Geodetic surveying or land surveying experience or coursework.
  • Advanced knowledge of geodetic or statistical principles.
  • Knowledge of standard geospatial products.
  • Familiarity with systems architecture, including unclassified cloud environments.
