Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

SRL Total Source LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for operating sonographic scanners and capturing high-quality images of patients' internal organs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient service skills, technical expertise, and a solid understanding of anatomy and pathology. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills are also essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer scans per physicians' orders efficiently and timely, according to departmental policy and procedures.
  • Prepare, utilize, and operate ultrasound equipment and rooms according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Check equipment for proper functioning before patient examination.
  • Maintain patients' records and medical notes on the ultrasound procedure they have undergone.
  • Perform sonographic examination using equipment and techniques specific to the modality, anatomy, pathology, physiology, and area of interest requested.
  • Follow sterile techniques and, according to standard community hospital policy, date, label, and mark images before sending them to contracted tele-radiology services.
  • Keep licensures, certification, and registration current via continuing education credits or other requirements.
  • Present cases to Physician/MLP for reviews.
Requirements and Experience:
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in sonography.
  • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • At least one year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
