Job Summary:

At Eutis Staffing Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric psychiatric inpatients. Your expertise will include examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of medical illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough medical assessments, including history and physical examinations, mental status examinations, and entering admission orders.
Order diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures as needed.
Monitor patients' progress, including laboratory values and special procedures, with appropriate follow-up or referrals.
Collaborate with attending psychiatric practitioners to provide valid, complete, and supported DSM-5 diagnoses.
Provide coverage to the medical clinic and admission suite to ensure timely and quality patient care.
Prescribe medications at the lowest effective dose, addressing medication side effects and reporting adverse drug reactions.
Ensure timely and quality documentation in patient records, adhering to policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and guidelines.

Requirements:

Experience working with acute and chronic adult inpatient populations, including forensic populations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Proficiency in medical terminology, diagnostic procedures, and treatment protocols.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Valid licensure and certification in psychiatry, as required by state and federal regulations.
