Key Responsibilities- Master neurological anatomy and function, ensuring a deep understanding of the complexities of the nervous system.
- Perform high-quality anesthetic induction, monitoring, and maintenance for surgeries and imaging, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
- Calculate medication and fluid doses for administration to hospitalized patients, requiring strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Assist in surgeries and advanced imaging procedures, working closely with our neurologists to provide comprehensive care.
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, and other essential procedures, demonstrating a high level of technical skill.
- Recognize and document changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Acquire histories and assist during neurologic consultations, providing valuable support to our neurologists.
- Collaborate with our neurologists to positively impact patient care, leveraging your expertise to drive exceptional outcomes.
- Participate in client education, empowering pet owners with the knowledge they need to provide the best possible care for their pets.
- Utilize practice management software to maintain accurate and up-to-date client and patient records, ensuring seamless communication and care coordination.
- CA RVT certification
- 3+ years of experience in a specialty setting within the veterinary industry
- Neurology and anesthesia experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with staff and clients
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates
- Highly competitive and comparable wages based on experience and skill set
- License application and renewal reimbursement for RVTs
