Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dialysis Nurse Educator to join our team at Gila River Health Care. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, organizing, and conducting clinical training programs for direct patient care personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Clinical Training Programs: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to ensure that all direct patient care personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee Policy Implementation: Ensure that newly developed policies and procedures are implemented consistently across all departments, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence.
  • Manage Training Schedules: Collaborate with department managers to schedule training programs, ensuring that all employees receive the necessary training to meet organizational standards.
  • Track Employee Training: Utilize the GRHC Training Database to track employee training, ensuring that all employees are up-to-date on the latest training policies and activities.
  • Collect and Report Data: Collect and report on educational program data to assist management in workforce education planning, ensuring that our training programs are effective and efficient.
  • Train and Educate Staff: Educate and train managers, directors, and clinical staff on new technologies, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure Environmental Integrity: Educate personnel on the maintenance of environmental integrity, ensuring that our facilities are safe and clean for patients and staff.
  • Supervise Education Coordinators: Supervise and oversee education coordinators to ensure that workforce training programs are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage Program Expenses: Oversee the financial spending of workforce education programs, reporting expenses to management to ensure efficient use of funds.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program from a university or college; Associate's degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse Licensure in AZ or qualified Compact Licensure.
  • Experience: 3 years of RN experience in a hospital/outpatient health care setting; 2 years of health education experience.
  • Certifications: Current and continuing BLS training and certifications.
  • Cultural Competence: Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
