Job Summary

Bristol Hospital Multi-Specialty Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Secretary to join our team. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our physicians and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to physicians and staff
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate and timely filing
  • Process forms, records, and other materials, and transcribe insurance information and medical records
  • Assist with patient registration and scheduling
  • Perform various receptionist duties, including answering phones and greeting patients

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year of clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Superior customer service, telephone, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD9 and CPT4 coding, and medical insurance and managed care plans

Work Environment:

Regular exposure to patient elements, high volume of telephone and personal contact with customers, and extensive use of computer and other office equipment.
