Relief Veterinarian Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Relief Veterinarian to join our team at VCA Highlands Ranch Animal Specialty & Emergency Center. As a Relief Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality emergency and critical care to our patients, working closely with our experienced team of doctors and technicians.

About the Role

This is a relief position, providing flexible shifts to support our growing caseload. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a wide range of cases, from trauma and critical care to urgent and emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency and critical care to patients, including triage, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work closely with our team of doctors and technicians to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in rounds and case discussions to stay up-to-date on patient care and treatment plans
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, including medication and surgical interventions
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and high-quality care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Internship experience in emergency medicine, including critical care and trauma
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a busy emergency practice
  • Ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to perform minor soft tissue surgery and abdominal surgeries
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
