Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Principal Quality Engineer to lead our total quality management efforts across all aspects, including Customer, Supplier, Regulatory, and New Product Development. As a technical leader, you will drive various quality initiatives, guide cross-functional teams, and bring clarity and order to challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and resolve conflicting engineering judgments.
- Guide the team to the most efficient path to resolution, influencing without authority.
- Bring clarity and order to challenging situations, valuing the time of heavily loaded individuals.
- Seed the team with fresh technical suggestions in the event of a stall in the problem-solving process.
- Strengthen quality whether the product is an individual semiconductor device, an electronic assembly, or software/firmware.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience exercising a general-purpose quality toolkit.
- Excellent communication and soft skills are essential.
- Rapid self-study is expected for those without experience in PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, high-speed products.
Astera Labs offers a competitive base salary range of $160,000 - $240,000, determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
