Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to identify and prioritize projects aimed at enhancing IT infrastructure.
- Engage with the EnergyUnited community to improve user satisfaction and experience.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive security protocols across the organization.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members regarding enterprise infrastructure.
- Evaluate infrastructure needs, propose enhancements, and ensure ongoing maintenance of enterprise systems, including security updates.
- Assist in the design and upkeep of an inventory for enterprise hardware and software, as well as contribute to disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct installations and upgrades of operating systems and essential software.
- Stay informed about technology advancements and maintain the necessary skills to adopt new technologies.
- Collaborate with technology vendors to resolve hardware and software challenges. Work alongside various departments to assess needs, evaluate new IT initiatives, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws and software licensing agreements.
- Maintain and support the core systems infrastructure.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the Cooperative's telecommunications network.
- Assist users in implementing new equipment and software applications.
- Keep updated on current cloud and on-premises technologies, providing recommendations for upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline. Relevant experience or industry-recognized certifications may substitute for formal education. AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) Certification is required, with AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) certification preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in an IT role supporting enterprise-level infrastructure and user assistance. Familiarity with telecommunications, including cloud-based call routing systems and Microsoft Teams, is essential.
- Expertise in software and cloud technologies such as O365, M365, and Azure.
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewall configuration, IPS/IDS, and wireless networking in a multi-site environment.
- Strong understanding of VDI, hyper-converged technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
- Proficient in managing both physical and virtualized systems using VMWare.
- Working knowledge of PC applications, including O365 products, MS Project, Visio, MS SQL, and Windows server/client platforms.
- Advanced experience with P2V migration strategies involving Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as CiscoPrime and Solarwinds.
- Extensive experience with on-premises Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Group Policy, and Microsoft Server and Client operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Continuously enhance our IT knowledge base in your areas of responsibility according to established standards.
Additional Information:
- This role typically operates during standard business hours, with some flexibility required for irregular hours. Availability during adverse weather conditions is necessary.
- This position is categorized as Hybrid, allowing work to be performed both at an EnergyUnited office and remotely.
- All employees must reside or be willing to relocate within the designated service areas of the Cooperative.
