Job Title: Army Instructor

Join the Alabama Department of Education as an Army Instructor and play a vital role in shaping the minds of the next generation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching high school students the skills and values necessary to become responsible leaders.

Job Summary:

The Army Instructor will be responsible for developing and implementing a four-year program of instruction based on the JROTC curriculum. This will include conducting public affairs programs, enrolling students in the JROTC program, and maintaining records and reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and community groups.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a four-year program of instruction based on the JROTC curriculum
  • Conduct public affairs programs to promote the JROTC unit and the Army
  • Enroll students in the JROTC program and support school officials in conducting these programs
  • Maintain records and reports as required by the school system and the Army
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and community groups
  • Exhibit positive human relation skills and represent the US Army in a positive manner
Qualifications:
  • Sergeant must have an Associate's Degree
  • Certification by US Army Cadet Command
  • Meets Army weight and physical fitness standards
