The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Fleet Electrical Mechanic to contribute to our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute connector terminations for various wiring types, including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic connections.
- Understand and follow routing instructions for harness handling.
- Perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, and closure of wire harnesses and cables according to established standards.
- Read and interpret engineering schematics, technical orders, and process specifications for electrical modifications and repairs.
- Utilize tooling assemblies for the modification and repair of electrical wiring at the depot level.
- Conduct assembly, installation, and visual inspections of electrical components, ensuring operational and quality checks of aircraft systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and communication/navigation system malfunctions at both organizational and depot maintenance levels.
- Interpret standard work instructions, charts, blueprints, and wire diagrams.
- Operate equipment safely and according to established procedures.
- Coordinate the preparation and movement of materials and tools as necessary.
- Maintain required certifications and licenses for assigned tasks.
- Perform duties of lower electrical classifications as needed to complete assignments.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces, lifting loads of approximately 35 pounds.
This position is primarily onsite. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship. A Top Secret clearance may be necessary for this role.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems.
- Experience working with schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings.
- Proficient in component and wire installation, including repair and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant.
- Active US Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher.
Typical Experience/Education:
High school diploma or GED with typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Shift: This position involves variable shifts.
