Instructional Aide

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Aide to join our team at Ombudsman Educational Services. As an Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in providing individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, as well as additional support to the core classroom staff.

• Student Support: Assist classroom teachers in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, and provide individualized instruction to students to ensure they meet their academic goals.
• Classroom Management: Instruct and monitor students during lessons, and utilize instructional strategies to assist with student learning and help students meet requirements for course completion.
• Progress Monitoring: Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students, and communicate with the classroom teacher to ensure consistency and accuracy in student records.
• Behavioral Support: Manage student behavior in the classroom, and apply appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary, while upholding the ChanceLight philosophy and policies.
• Communication: Communicate necessary information to students, team members, supervisors, and parents regarding students' needs and academic progress.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an associate's degree or higher in a relevant field of study.
• Licenses and Certifications: Licensed as a paraprofessional, paraeducator, educational aide, or teaching assistant, with the ability to obtain a paraprofessional credential.
• Skills: Highly skilled in working with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or related disabilities, with advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
