Job Summary:

This Diesel Mechanic Technician Class B position offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities within the company.

Job Description:

As a Diesel Mechanic Technician Class B, you will perform preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).

You will also complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair, maintain, and service medium to heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/repairs.
  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
  • Train and provide guidance to other Mechanics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need 3-5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and experience in refrigeration.

A High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience is also required.
