We are seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Space Systems Development (SSD) business unit, you will play a critical role in developing next-generation concepts and systems to advance our future of living and working in space sustainably.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools to enhance our engineering efforts and improve operational excellence.
- Provide technical direction and support for rapid definition, analysis, and evaluation of architecture and system concepts, trade studies, and technical roadmaps.
- Develop concept of operations, requirements, and functional architecture definition.
- Define configuration and sizing for a diverse range of system applications.
- Provide technical review of work across the entire formulation project portfolio.
- Embody the Blue Origin leadership principles.
- Identify and fix gaps in existing processes, tools, infrastructure, and continually improve solutions.
- Undergraduate degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2+ years relevant industry Systems Engineering experience.
- Working domain knowledge in one or more traditional aerospace subsystems.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to perform engineering analysis.
- Experience in multidisciplinary development projects, including managing requirements and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
- M.S. or PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
- 1+ years experience working in a fast-paced concept development environment.
- Experience conducting advanced design and analysis to meet the optimal performance of subsystems and systems.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays. Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
