About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Specialist to join our team at Badger Liquor Co., Inc. as a key member of our finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liquor License Management: Prepare and process liquor license holds and releases in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Corporate Customer Payments: Apply and process corporate customer payments efficiently.
  • Electronic Deposits: Process electronic deposits through Fintech and Badger Pay systems.
  • Bank Deposit Verification: Verify bank deposits for Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and document data entry details.
  • New Customer Setup: Set up and approve new customers for Fintech and IControl services.
  • Customer Support: Provide issue resolution support to customers, sales teams, and delivery teams.
  • NSF Check Monitoring: Monitor Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) checks, document details, notify customers, and update sales representatives.
  • Accounts Receivable: Maintain accounts receivable for various chain divisions.
  • Electronic Payment Options: Review and set up electronic payment options for customers.
  • Process Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives and develop change management training.
  • Customer Queries: Answer and resolve questions from customer accounts, sales teams, and delivery teams.
  • Chain Account Management: Maintain accounts receivable for various chain accounts.
  • Credit Checks: Run credit checks on all new customers.
  • Training and Onboarding: Assist with the training and onboarding of new Sales Representatives in regards to the Credit Policy.
  • Special Sale Invoices: Process Special Sale Invoices.
  • Backup Support: Provide backup support to the Credit Supervisor as needed.
  • Flexibility: May be required to flex hours to support all areas of the business.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience: Three to five years of credit experience required. Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred.
  • Skills: Intermediate computer skills, ability to work well independently and in team environments, advanced verbal and written communication skills, ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data, ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, ability to multi-task and attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
