Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Factory Order Technician to join our team at Apogee Enterprises. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing complete production orders for manufacturing, generating erection drawings for field use, and ensuring the accurate preparation of assembly orders from blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare assembly orders from blueprints, adhering to specified production processes.
  • Provide accurate bills of materials for in-house use.
  • Perform assignments involving intermediate custom products and applications.
  • Answer questions from manufacturing regarding production orders, deferring complex queries to senior staff.
  • Review and approve jobs, following standard operating procedures.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize projects according to deadlines and requested completion dates.
  • Create erection drawings/part mark drawings for field use to aid with installation of EFCO products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction or Project Management (desired) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and technical instructions.
Working Environment

The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team and will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The majority of the time will be spent in an office environment.
