Job Description

The Controller will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and presenting financial reports and budgets throughout the year. They will inform management about significant variances and their effects on operations. The Controller will also develop forecasts and budgets on a monthly and annual basis as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial reports and budgets
  • Inform management about significant variances and their effects on operations
  • Develop forecasts and budgets on a monthly and annual basis
  • Manage and reconcile fixed assets with the unit's general ledger
  • Oversee the competitive bidding process and identify accounting and financial issues
  • Monitor and authorize all purchases, expenses, salaries, sales, and payments
  • Analyze financial data and recommend actions to enhance profitability
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and coordinate tasks with accounting staff
  • Supervise Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Ensure internal control over revenues, assets, and liabilities and maintain accounts according to standardized systems
  • Guarantee accurate accounting and timely financial reporting to management
  • Assess departmental performance and adjust operations as necessary to achieve overall goals and objectives
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance (or related field) and 5+ years of experience in Accounting. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus. Familiarity with inventory process and strong Microsoft Excel knowledge are also required. Software system experience, particularly Microsoft Navision, is a nice to have.
