Job Summary

Capital Industries is seeking a highly skilled Robotics Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in the planning, writing, and implementation of programming code for robotic cells.
  • Assist in the control of costs associated with support of products and projects, ensuring that they meet budgeted guidelines.
  • Work with the Integration Manager, Shop Team Leads/Supervisors, and Production Manager to provide support for projects in the shop.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is completed and saved in the correct location for each project.
  • Make timely recommendations to other departments to achieve quality improvements or lowering of design, build, and programming costs.
  • Assist in handling incoming calls for service assistance or parts orders, and perform on-site service as assigned by the Integration Manager.
  • Maintain a policy of prioritizing service for Acieta-built equipment assisted and in production at customer sites.
  • Follow all established customer service procedures and practices to maintain an orderly reference file in the Customer Service Office.
  • Utilize various software programs available within Capital Industries to assist with computer utilization goals.
  • May be required to back up other technicians on larger projects and assist the lead technician on projects as needed.
  • Must show proficiency in setting up a robot, including IRS, I/O configuration, Mastering, Aux axis, etc., and in all levels of robotic system recovery.
  • Train customers on the use and operation of robotic cells either on-site or at Capital Industries.
  • Attend and successfully complete specific application Fanuc training classes.
  • Work with all robot technicians to transfer any new technical information that has been received or learned in the shop, field, or training class.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school offering specialized robotic training; or one to two years related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
