Job Summary

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a Part Time Donation Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring a positive and efficient donation experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist donors, providing a professional and friendly demeanor throughout the transaction.
  • Donation Processing: Receive and process donations, including sorting and loading/unloading trucks.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, adhering to The Salvation Army's dress and appearance code.
  • Security and Safety: Safeguard materials and track donations, reporting any incidents or concerns to management.
  • Communication: Courteously advise donors of acceptable and unacceptable materials, and offer assistance with heavy or large items.
Requirements
  • Education: High School degree or equivalent, with a minimum of X years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Ability to speak, write, and understand English, basic computer skills, and good manual dexterity.
  • Physical Requirements: Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions

The work environment is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level, and may be dusty with temperature fluctuations.
