Job Title: Creative Arts Therapist

At Universal Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Creative Arts Therapist to join our team at Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital. As a Creative Arts Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive behavioral healthcare to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide group therapy for patients and document the process in the patient record in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Coordinate therapeutic activity programs to effect improvement in the physical, mental, and social well-being of patients.
  • Prepare reports on patient progress and modify programs in accordance with the patient's needs and capacities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or a closely related therapy field. Preferred Master's Degree in Recreational Therapy.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Recreational Therapist strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, time management, and group and individual psychotherapy required.
