Occupational Therapist Job Description

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Department. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial examinations and evaluations to establish patient care plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address patient needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes to inform treatment decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • 1-year site-specific experience preferred.
  • Active Maryland License and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Work Schedule:

Per Diem requirement: 2 weekdays per month; 2 holidays per year (one of which must be a winter holiday).

Hospital Orientation requirement of 3 full weekdays (M-W) followed by department orientation the remainder of the week.
