Crotonville Hotel & Conference Center is a Riverside Conference Experience located off the banks of the Hudson River, nestled within the Croton Bay area. Our hotel boasts proximity to New York City and surrounding metro areas, making it an ideal location for business and leisure travelers alike.

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts in our hotel's bakery. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

• Familiar with scaling, mixing, and cake assembly
• Comfortable baking with convention ovens and have an understanding of baking temperature ranges in cake, quick bread, and cookies
• Able to garnish finished desserts
• A team player with the perfect mix of culinary and administrative expertise
• Able to maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety
• Highly organized and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/diverse duties while determining appropriate priorities for their completion

• 2+ years in the pastry production, French pastry experience preferred
• Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is preferred
• Be passionate about the food industry with a strong interest in high-quality products
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills, along with the ability to recognize what needs to be prioritized
• Ability to work shifts up to 10 hours while standing or walking to perform essential functions
• Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with management and team members
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays when needed

The compensation for this position is $22.00/Hr. - $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
